About me
I build things that hold up.
I am Falko Rumann. Qwirbel is mine – the program, the licence server and this website. If your company is planning something with AI or automation, or is looking for someone who keeps at a system until it runs: get in touch.
Cooperation, a project or a permanent role – all possible, as long as the terms are fair.
What I work with
What I can do
Setting systems up and keeping them alive
This is where I go deepest. Set up, secure, operate – in a way that keeps running when I am not standing next to it. This site is the example: it runs on my own machine behind a tunnel, with a watchdog that checks every five minutes and brings back whatever fell over.
Android, all the way down
Custom ROMs, my own apps, recovering bootloops – across different manufacturers, not just the one brand where everything is neatly documented. A device that will not boot is where I start, not where I stop.
Software and interfaces
The part that comes easy to me. I read my way into somebody else's code, find the place where it jams, and build interfaces you can operate without a manual. If someone needs an explanation first, the interface is not finished.
AI that runs locally
Language models, image models and agents that actually finish a job – on your own hardware instead of someone else's data centre. That is exactly what Qwirbel is, and I use it myself every day.
Automation
Repetitive work should not stay stuck to people. I look at what happens by hand every day at your place and build it away – measure first, then build, not the other way round.
I find a way
When something is undocumented, not intended to work that way, or simply broken, I do not stop. I keep at it until I understand how it works. That is the ability I rely on most – more than on any single tool.
How I work
The way I work
Half-hearted does not count
What I start, I finish properly. Not as a pose, but because half-finished work costs twice as much later – and because you do not hand a customer something that only holds at first glance.
I do not believe what I have not measured
Something sounds plausible? Then it is not true yet. I check before I claim, and I say so when I got it wrong. That saves more time in the end than it costs.
Standards, not gut feeling
I work to fixed rules that I write down and keep to – even when nobody is looking and even when cutting the corner would be faster. That is exactly what you can tell apart later: something maintained versus something merely put there.
I say so when an idea is not a good one
Whoever brings me in gets an opinion, not just execution. If I think an approach is wrong, I say it beforehand – and then still build cleanly whatever was decided.
Evidence
You can check whether I can do it
I am not listing years or certificates here. Everything below hangs off this one site and can be clicked.
- A licence server with Ed25519 signatures: activate once, then the program runs permanently without internet.
- Live payment through Stripe, with webhook, invoice and key delivery by email – fully automatic.
- This website in 39 languages, picked by the visitor's country, with prices in 19 currencies.
- A Discord bot that verifies licences and assigns roles – in the same process as the server, with no open port.
- A companion app for Android including screen mirroring and remote control, paired by QR code.
- My own compute interface on Vulkan so AMD cards join in as well – free of charge, currently in progress.
- The operations around it: tunnel, watchdog, backups, logging and regular security reviews.
Working together
What you can approach me for
Cooperation
You have a product, I have one. If the two together can do more than either alone, let us talk.
Projects
Apps, websites, AI integrations, automating the routines that cost you time every day. Tell me what should come out at the end – I will find the way there.
Permanent role
I am open to it if the terms are right. Fair means: paid properly, honest with each other, and I do not build things that harm people. That is why no data leaves the machine with Qwirbel – and an employer would not change that.
I keep developing Qwirbel regardless – this comes in addition, it replaces nothing.

Short and concrete is best: what you are planning and where it is stuck. I answer myself, there is nobody in between.
